Experience the Village is Our Village Conversations’ facilitation offering, designed to help individuals and communities move beyond surface-level connection and into conversations that foster belonging, reflection, and emotional well-being.
We partner with non-profit organizations, community groups, and mission-aligned institutions to deliver thoughtfully curated experiences for mothers and other communities navigating isolation, transition, or marginalization. Each experience is rooted in connection, care, and the belief that no one is meant to do life alone.
While our work is rooted in maternal well-being, our facilitation extends to any community seeking meaningful connection and belonging.
Through Experience the Village, we facilitate a range of experiences tailored to your organization’s goals and audience, including:
- Workshops
- Facilitated game nights
- Retreat sessions
- Small-group conversations
- Virtual or in-person gatherings
Each experience is grounded in guided conversation, intentional facilitation, and a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approach that honours the diverse lived experiences of the people in the room.
We currently offer four facilitated workshops designed to support connection, reflection, and emotional well-being. Each workshop can be delivered virtually or in person and adapted to suit your organization’s community. Additional workshop topics can be developed in collaboration with partner organizations.
Our facilitation is designed to seamlessly complement existing mental health, wellness, or community-building initiatives. We collaborate closely with organizations to customize sessions that align with your values, programming goals, and the communities you serve.
We’ve had the privilege of partnering with organizations such as West Coast Kids Cancer Foundation, Balding for Dollars, and Nisa Homes.
If you’re looking to create spaces where people feel seen, heard, and genuinely connected, we’d love to explore working together.

As a Mental Health Professional, I highly endorse these cards and believe they are great tool for ice-breakers, support groups, workshops and even coffee dates for moms struggling with the daily grind of motherhood!
- Anisa Diab, Mental Health Professional

Your ability to create a safe, supportive space for mothers to reflect, connect, and share their experiences was so impactful. The compassion and care you bring to your work is deeply appreciated, and it’s clear the mothers felt seen, heard, and valued throughout the session.
- Muneeba Chaudhry, Sakeenah Canada

We were truly grateful to have Zahra come and speak to our group of moms. She created a safe and welcoming space that allowed us to have much deeper conversations than we usually do. Her honesty, vulnerability and gentle presence sparked conversations that were both meaningful and uplifting. Many of us left feeling seen, heard and inspired to continue to connect with one another on a deeper level.
- Shelyna Khalfan, Co-Chair of Mommy Connections

Well organized and thoughtfully curated workshop. Our participants were inspired to pour their hearts and express in a meaningful way. Leaving with a grateful heart for support they felt and tools they learned for self care.
- Mehreen Nasser, Workshop Participant

I had the privilege of trying this game out for the first time during a women’s retreat. Each question is so carefully thought out that it created such diverse conversations. The women I began this game with were different ages and many were strangers to me but by the end of this game we all felt deeply connected and understood.
- Women’s Retreat Participant

I absolutely loved the way this game brought a group of woman who did not previously know each other together! We laughed, we cried, and deepened our connection with not only one another, but with ourselves! Our village kept our group chatting into the wee hours of the night!
